Poll: What are your top mobility challenges?

Hey folks, I’m working on an upcoming post and I’d really like to get some feedback from you. I’ve already asked this on Twitter before and I have a pretty good idea from talking to people all over the world but: What are your top 5 mobility challenges? Let me know in the comments and in a future post I’ll explain how we can help solve them with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite.

  1. When we set up mobile devices, here are requests we get (in order of most common):
    1. Connect to campus wifi (some devices handle Enterprise WPA2 better than others)
    2. Set up email/calendar
    3. Set up access to Enterprise Windows apps (Citrix XenApp)
    4. Set up VPN (Cisco AnyConnect SSL)
    5. Most customers don’t get to #5, but we’re having more and more requesting assistance getting to files in OneDrive for Business and SharePoint.

    • That was exactly what I was expecting and what’s been echoed in my 1 on 1 engagements…normally in the 1,2,4,3 route.

      • More and more of the services we offer to end users are either cloud-based (like Office 365) or open to the public Internet (typically through a reverse proxy). Because of that, we’re having fewer requests for VPN access since it is only necessary for certain legacy applications.

  2. existing users still using offline files to sync thousands of files to their devices
ipads playing nicely on a windows domain
image size on tablets leaves little room on 32gb/64gb devices
price of surface devices make it unappealing to corporate IT beancounters
separation of personal vs private data on wipe scenarios
