iTunes 9 gets all Windows 7 friendly

I’ve just spotted a couple of nice new features in iTunes 9 (a.k.a. the application I hate but must install) which Apple released at some big event yesterday that’s not CEDIA.  This new version of iTunes seems to be faster on my test box, but that remains to be seen.  One big improvement though is the Windows 7 integration, first up in the left image we have jump lists, it’s OK, but they could have done something more useful in my opinion.  Second, to the right they’ve added some play control buttons to the thumbnail.

Overall, it’s good to see Apple doing this – incidentally the new Chrome builds have too – but I do think they could have done better.  I wish the Zune software worked with my iPhone.
